Firehouse hosts Affordable Art show

Firehouse hosts Affordable Art show

The Waimea Arts Council presents its annual Affordable Art show, featuring artwork priced for the gift-giving season. The show runs through Dec. 22 at the Firehouse Gallery, 67-1201 Mamalahoa Highway, Waimea.

Paintings, drawings, jewelry and handcrafted items created by local artists on display in the Main Gallery are priced at no more than $250, with items such as small paintings and prints well below that price. The exhibit features rotating displays; as works are sold, other pieces are offered.

The Firehouse Gallery is usually open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. It will open early and close late on Dec. 1, the day of the Waimea Twilight Christmas Parade. Call 887-1052 to confirm hours.
